Esperance is a popular roadtrip destination, with half a dozen caravan parks in town and more scattered along the coast and further into the region. Plug in a caravan, park up the van, or pitch a tent and swag: parks range from foreshore spots a short walk from the shops to quieter locations further along the coast, with a mix of powered and unpowered sites, and cabins for anyone travelling without their own gear.
Some parks have pools, camp kitchens or barbecue areas, and a number are pet-friendly, though policies, fees and restrictions differ, so it's worth checking directly with the park when you book.
Esperance also has several Bush Camps and National Parks if you are happy to go a little more off grid.

Bringing a Pet?
Several Esperance caravan parks welcome dogs, but pet policies, fees and any breed or size restrictions differ from park to park, so confirm directly with the park when you book.
If you're after a more low-key, pet-friendly option outside a caravan park setting, the Shire-managed bush camps at Quagi Beach, Munglinup Beach and Alexander Bay all welcome dogs and cats on a lead, unlike Esperance's national parks, where pets aren't permitted at all.
See Bush Camps and National Parks for details.
